what is last fm is it a streaming program or something? like shoutcast?

some media players (like amaroK in linux) update your profile on last.fm with the lastest music you've been listening to.

pretty much all the latest and most used media players are supported. I think it's a great tool to see what you're listening too, and a great customised radio station is created at the same time.

so you can create a radio station and stream from another location? do you have to subscribe get to that?

nah, you select an artist you like and then it streams similar music based on that and what you've listened to before on your media player and when streaming before
