I'm thinking about getting one, they are pretty slick but I want to see them in action at an Apple store before I decide.

Yeh they look pretty neat, definitaly the black one. Read that they dont support xp though, is that true? The imacs work so great with it, have one setup at work, sell like hot cakes.

I wouldn't mind having one if they weren't so damn expensive.

For what you get in the computer, the lowest end MacBook isn't that bad. I mean you get a good processor, 512 mem, Microsoft office INCLUDED, wireless AND bluetooth, built in webcam, pretty good battery, remote control.
I could go on (just by looking at the website). I mean it isn't bad, but the drawback is learning a new OS if you are a Windows user. I guess it's just a matter of opinion, I went from not liking OS X to liking it after using it everyday but that's just me.
::Edit::
I heard they are dropping the prices on May 28 but I'm not sure if that's real or just a rumor.

No, they run XP via BootCamp just fine. Perhaps what you're thinking of is that Microsoft Virtual PC doesn't run on the Apple Intel machines (because it doesn't)?

If you do a search for MacBook on Google Video they have videos of people actually playing games on the MacBooks on XP. It's pretty crazy. I heard they are getting pretty good test results on gaming, not sure where I saw that but I'll post it up when I see it.

It's said that the X1600 GPU on MacBook is underclocked. Well of course, you can install overclocking utilities on Windows XP with Boot Camp.

I could use a new laptop, I'm a windows guy, but I'm getting my friends old mac, gonna play with that for a month and see.
Only thing that i'm not sure of is free/cheap easy to use software for work stuff. I have dreamweaver 8 for pc (*cough* BT *cough*). just don't know if I can acquire it that easily with a mac. Also other things such as basic FTP programs I'm also not sure of.
