It works fine from my point here using IE7. What version of IE7 are you using?

I believe this is the same error message I reported earlier....check my screenshot and let us know if it's the same:
http://www.flexbeta.net/forums/index.php?s...indpost&p=97417I still get this message fairly often, it started after the forum problems we had recently.

Guess you using advert removig software then huh?

What it does it scan the topic, and then display relevant ads to the topic - within that last post.

The problem is IE not showing Flex correct. Since most visitors still use IE, this is a problem, and a solution is needed, not a replacement. Though I do agree with you on the Get Firefox part

When I use IE I get this all the time, the solution is to refresh the page since it always loads correctly on the second attempt. There's definitely still a problem that's not related to cookies/temp files, one thought may be disabling the GoogleBot to test (although it's a good way to build some $$ for Flex so I'd like to see it added back in instead of adding banner type ads). I'm always happy to help test if needed, just let me know.

OK, I'm still having this problem on a daily basis so I've been doing a little digging....here's what I've turned up:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Web_La...Q_21723376.htmland:
http://channel9.msdn.com/wiki/default.aspx...ProgrammingBugs (search for Operation Aborted, or scroll about 1/2 way down).
These are just two examples, since I'm not familiar with the Flex web code I don't know how related they are. All I know is I'm still seeing the errors and I'd like to help find a solution to the problem so others don't get frustrated when visiting on IE.

I hope I am not accused of reviving an old topic. I have just come back to these pages, after a couple of months absence. I was reminded of its existence through another source. The problem is still there. Is there really nothing that can be done about it? At first, I had so much difficulty getting in that I thought the site had ceased to exist! The were not many respćonses when the topic was raised before, so maybe it is dependant on certain setups of sopftware etc, in one's own computer?

I suspect that it has to be a bug because after removing the flexbeta bot, many users reported that the problem went away.

Expert Exchange sucks you got to pay to view solutions and when I do a Google search for a issue im facing its normally that site that appears first... grrr anyway I am now facing this issue when using IE on Windows XP Corp on my MacBook but don't have this issue on my desktop running Windows XP Home OEM noticeably its only happening while browsing the forum, If I recall you can repair databases or scan for issues or something like that with Invision Power Board, correct me if I am wrong but im pretty certain there is something like that as I used IPB for about a year on my site, but decided to close it as It was to much hassle, but anyway maybe this will fix the issue? because their is must be error in the database somewhere, is their other tools to repair issues aswell? tbh I cant remember
davidjames2009
Aug 26 2006, 08:11 PM
You dont have to pay to view the solution, SCROLL DOWN!
How can you not see that :/ Then just look for the one with "accepted answer" next to it!
P.S. Operation aborted is nothing to do with the database, its to do with either the HTML headers/page or the content in the page which is likely to be javascript - if remote javascript trys to write HTML to a page in IE it will cause operation aborted unless its done inside a DIV, becaues its a possible cross site scripting (XSS) attack

Ok. Thanks for the assurance paleck. When I first link to Flexbeta, sometimes during reading, and very often when trying to post and answering post (This answer took three refreshers and a back arrow!) I get an Internet Explorer message in a box saying : Internet Explorer cannot open this Internet site:
http://www.flexbeta.net/forums/index.php?a...amp;qpid=101826Refreshing a couple of times and, sometimes, clicking the back arrow, will bring me to the page I am trying to use. I quite like this site and would really wish to continue using it but you can see that it is very cumbersome(for me, antway) at the moment.

Ok, what platforms are having this issue? Please give version number and all.
Also, do you have Java installed? As stated above this might be a java error. IPB uses way to much java in my opinion anyway.
I personally haven't come across this ever. Though, I don't use IE at all.

I am using IE 6.0 2900 xpsp-sp2-gdr.050301-1519. Yes I have Java installed. I also visit otherIPB sites without problems. I havnt tried FireFox but I,ll give it a go and come back here shortly.
Back again. No. Firefox does not seem to be giving the error!

Funny, I neverever got that erorr message on IE...
UNTIL I reinstalled XP. I think maybe the problem is that you have to make sure you're up to date with the security fixes???
I don't plan on updating as I like how fast my PC runs before I bombard it with that stuff. I might get Firefox again, but compared to IE it seems to take longer to open up. HAHA maybe you should put a sign on the main page saying "Optimized for Firefox, click here to download". That way you can blame the error on IE.
P.S. Tom I still don't see the solution even after scrolling down, pardon me, I can't even see something that I'm holdaing in my hand. Any help? And dn2004 don't worry, you're not the only one who has been annoyed by expert-exchanges pay to view thing.
