i have a AMD 2800+ SEMPRON WITH 1 BROKEN PIN, and 2 bent pins. i just bought it and installed it wrong. i would like to know if anyone wants to buy it
JjcampNR
Well the two bent pins could probably be fixed pretty easily (and carefully) but I'm assuming the broken pin has been completely removed correct? If this is the case the processor is trashed, there's no way to repair it.

no caps, please.

i heard there was a way to fix broken pins
JjcampNR
Well, you probably could but it's a difficult process and has a lot of variables to consider. For example is the broken pin on the inner or outer row? Do you have any gold solder and a soldering gun? There are people that will repair them for you but I have no clue what the cost is, since you can pick up a Semperon 2800+ for $74.00 it's probably easier and cheaper to buy a new chip.

if you still have the pin you could always try glueing it back on with conductive glue

note that the link JjcampNR gave you is for a Sempron 2800+ socket 754. the original Sempron's were on socket a (which is the CPU i used to have). socket a is no longer made so you'd have to look for one used in order to replace the CPU if thats the case. personally i'd recommend an Athlon XP if thats the road you gotta go. good luck.

Can you post a picture of the chip. Also, how much would you sell it for. They retail for very little so i wouldnt pay much at all for it. Basicly i want it just as a spare and backup to my 2600+
