I was building a laptop today on HP's website and I noticed an interesting feature under one of the hard drives. You'll have to take a look, screen attached.

I'm not sure what that's about, but it pisses me off. My Compaq Laptop must have something like that. Whenever I try to access shared files on it, it asks me for a username and password. The thing is that no username/password combination works. I tried running it as a server, and it was an utter failure.

I think the hard disk has a chip on it to encrypt your files.

They've definitely done an awful job on this one....maybe they think they're going to make gobs a new technical term?
