I was doing my own merry thing on my computer when I switched over from gmail to google and voila, I had a little 'portal' site reminiscent of Windows Live.
Now, I've seen something like this before, but it was always kind of a 'route' to get there. Now I'm noticing a little 'sign in' up in the top right of google.com. I know personalized home was there for a bit, but this isn't what I'd get to when I clicked it.
Is all this new? Or did I just not notice the sign in there before?

I just noticed that now, that's peculiar.

Still the same for me... (Might be because I'm Dutch, though I'm running English Google)

Well, it's definately there now. I just customized the whole thing. Very similar to Windows Live....down to the 'gadgets', though google doesnt use gadgets. It allows u to add content and rss to the page.
OK, this is interesting also. I asked a friend of mine to check it out...he lives in Jamaica so his google goes automatically to google.com.jm. He got access to his by going to the 'personalize page'. As I said, I know it was around before live, but this is sorta different. I don't remember being able to drag around the sections like this. It was like yahoo.
Good stuff.

It was actually around before Windows Live was announced. For a while Live didn't work well in Firefox, they actually said on the page in FF that they are working to make it compatable.

This has been around for quite a while now, maybe they just improved the way in which you have to get there and some of the FF functionality.

It's actually been around for a while, but you had to go to google.com/ig for it. I've been using it for a few months now.
