I have this assignment about the changes of computer industry.

I need to learn about the changes that has occured in certain areas, how it affects Canadians and what the future might hold for those both directly and indirectly involved.

Any thoughts or web-sites would be appreciated

My guess is that the biggest changes revolve around the internet and the proliferation of adware, spyware, and self-propogating worms (in essence, security in general). One thing we have to deal with in the US that you don't is Sarbanes-Oxley, which has proven to be anything but the smooth transition Congress claimed it would be.

If your planning on discussing the computer industry, you essay is gonna be more than 100 page lol.

I would suggest you pick the main topics, such as; Security (which breaks down into sub-sections), Software, Hardware...etc etc.

I can tell that where I am studying there is less and less students in computer engineering (at Montreal), even they are thinking of closing the course subscription for an undefined period. There might be teachers who will lose their job because ofthis, but there will be sure a lack of computer technicians and programmers, leaving us a larger pool of job.

im doing mechatronics there are 5 in the class so its going down here too
