whenever i leave Mirc idle for a long time.. say i am downloading something and i leave mirc open overnight..
in the morning.. in the status window.. i notice...

Disconnected.. 10053 Software caused connection abort..

its what happen when you timeout
dont worry about it too much

its normally when the server your connected to goes offline and you have to re-connected, cause it restarted

ya true.. but see i ask other members of the servers and they have no problems what so ever.. like they can idle and they dont get disconnected :S

yeh, its a problem, where your isp, goes through an another isp, that isn't too stable to get to those servers, which could cause this too

well im in Canada using Rogers Hispeed internet.. and i know a couple of people using the same service.. but they dont get that error .. its just strange..

im in canada, using rogers 5mbit/800kbit service, and it happens all the time to me

i've tried it with 2 different routers, and still get this error all the time
if the server im on is having lots of ppl timeout, i get there error once ever hour or 2 or 3

normally the error happens every 5-8 hours, but sometimes it doesn't happen until like 20 hours or so, but thats rare, indeed

I know a lot of dialup users get timeouts often because of their ISP. I assume you're using highspeed?
