Arrrrgh. I need to vent right now. After carefully reading the item description and looking at the shipping price, I bid (and won) a CD on eBay. So I go to pay and the Payment Instructions say " This CD is in like new condition but there is no art work for this CD. We do not combine shipping. Thanks" Well F**K. Why didn't they say in the ITEM description that there was no artwork????!!!!! I shouldn't have to read the PAYMENT instructions to find out I'm paying $3.95 in shipping alone for nothing but a CD.

Why do people do crap like this???? This ranks right up there with people who post items on ebay that are ACCESSORIES in a category explicitly NOT for accessories. It's like, "hey, there's a perfectly good accessories category for cameras, but I'm an arsehole who wants to put my ad for a cheap lens cleaner in the SLR category."

GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaagagahgahgahagh!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me vent.

I really think ebay has to work on stuff like this or they will go down, there have been more and more reports of scams or miss lableing things, its getting sick, kinda like e-mail it was good at first now all it is is spam after awhile lol

it's not ebays fault, no system can be perfect as long as it involved people.
it's the people that are the problem
MS would be a god if we the people didn't jack crap up.

Amen to that!

I agree eBay needs to do something about this kind of stuff. As it stands now, the rules for posting an item are very, very loose. This obviously is a double edged sword. On one hand people have the freedom to have their content unique and personalized, on the other hand, people abuse this power and screw over people like me.

Personally, I'd have asked....You have the option to speak to a seller - which is a habit you should have if you're a frequent ebay. Have frequent emails to the seller BEFORE and AFTER the auction (if you win), that way you'll know what you need to know. Now, I think MOST of us know what we DON'T want in/on an item that we're bidding on - so simply ask those questions....for example, if I am bidding on a piece of hardware and I want the CD with it.....If the description doesn't mention the CD at all, I would ask; more obscure, how about a cell phone.....say I want a cell with the manuf. name tatooed bright and clear, I would ask. I don't think it's ebays fault, I think noone is to blame, in particular for this kind of thing. Just up to the buyer to make clear what he/she wants; even if the seller seems to have.

I've been ripped off twice from e-bay, which is why I don't use it anymore. Several of my friends have been ripped off too. One of them had a motorcycle stolen.

This is why you should always buy stuff from stores only. At least you get to see what you buy before you pay for it.

Very true. I either buy my stuff from a store, or from a reputable on-line retailer.

I havnt come across many probs on Ebay as of yet. I hear that some sellers are real morons if you give them bad feedback even if its a fair judgement.
