da Pope is almost died what do u think
Tobb555
I honeslty dont care. hes no differnt then anyother person. He shouldnt get special "Death Coverage". Thousands of people die a day its a natural thing. Life goes on.

"da Pope is almost died what do u think" Thats- The Pope is almost dead, what do you think? lol

Some reports say that he is dead already, only a few hours at most I would say
oubipaws
I honestly think that he is coming very close to the end and I don't expect him to live through the night.

Rest in peace.....
Tobb555
ya I read earlier today that he had died already
axel_2078
I think he's served his purpose, but his time has come.

I Agree with tobb

I do not know. I have mixed feelings about him even though I am not a Christian. However, one thing for sure that he is old (84-year-old).

Like figures such as Mother Theresa, he's done many good things in his life. He is credited (like Ronald Reagan: damn, even more similarities!) with helping ushering Communism's demise in eastern Europe, but at the same time noting the failures in western capitalism (similar to many current liberals). He pressured wealthy nations to feed the hungry and aid the poor.

However, there are some things for which I cannot laud John Paul. For instance, his stance against contraception is not only archaic, it's asinine. Who knows how many more cases of AIDS in Africa's epidemic were caused by missionaries preaching that condoms are sinful? Add to that the stain of sexual abuses by priests (which, naturally, can't be tied to the pope, but which is indicative of a deeper underlying problem) and the inherent stupidity of the Catholic hierarchy. Church, Inc. That the pope is supposedly infallible strikes me not only as heretical with regards to Christian dogma, but logically fallacious as well.

QUOTE
Before he became pope, Cardinal Karol Wojtyla played a major role in writing "Humanae Vitae." Probably the most controversial document in church history, it reasserted the Vatican's opposition to birth control.

Once Wojtyla became John Paul II, he staunchly reinforced that doctrine and others that prohibit premarital sex, female priests, and marriage for priests. And, to the chagrin of both liberals and conservatives in America, he is unwavering on matters of life and death, labeling abortion and the death penalty as immoral or, more succinctly, sin. Phillyblurbs

Well, at least his consistent when it comes to the value of human life, unlike many American conservatives, who are anti-abortion and pro-capital punishment. Still, you see how these sorts of rules are devastating to the church. I don't think that Roman Catholic priests are more likely to be pædophiles. I think that going so many years celibate will get to anybody. So here's to John Paul II, man in a silly hat in a Barbie Malibu Summer Home in Italy, who was both a humanitarian and a dinosaur.

Very few people as remarkable as John Paul II have walked this earth. I'm not some religious nut - I don't even go to church but I regret not taking advantage of the opportunity [I'd been given] to go spend some time at the pope's side at the Vatican back in the 80's. Unfortunately, back then I was too young to understand how great of a person he was and, like you, I just didn't care. I feel bad for whoever becomes the next pope since he will not be able to fill those enormous shoes.

R.I.P. Karol.

Ive been hearing rumors that they are going to get a black pope. Not that i have anything against it, its just the first time in history this will happen. I hope it works out ok for them.

I hope that Cardinal Francis Arinze (Nigerian candidate) becomes the next pontif. The Brazilian cardinal is my second favorite. If the Italian guy gets elected, we won't see a non-italian pope for another 500 years.

There's no way of telling who will be the next Pope... If it is an Black Priest - then it's about time. I still don't understand why Women , and Different Races are still treated unequally. I'm also waiting for a Women President or a Black President -

Wouldn't it be amazing to see a Black-Female President in the US? Imagine all of the older *males* (60+ years of age) who would die instantly.
Tobb555
I hope that i see some other race but i dont want to see someone like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson in office because i think that they want to be in the office for all the wrong reasons.
