Hey. I just needed a place to talk about this, 'cos it's bothering me. It seems I keep having problems while I'm driving..

It almost seems like some sort of anxiety problem, though I've never had this before.. earlier today I was driving, I didn't feel like I existed.. I just didn't feel right. It was weird, something I never want to feel again.

I keep getting that feeling, and I ended up going over a bridge today.. I nearly freaked out as I drove over it, that was weird. I've never had panic problems before blink.gif

Anyways, not looking for attention..just needed to say that..

when i was younger i used to have some freaky feelings. The only thing i can think of is an out of body experiencce, but that's not what it was. it was a feeling as if i were very far away from myself and i experienced anxiety and fear because of that, but at the same time i knew and felt i was right with myself. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it but it really freaked me out... bred a lot of fear. I haven't experienced that in a long time, and could have been because my family then smoked a lot of STUFF and 2nd hand really GOT to me... not sure.

many factors i suppose could have contributed to your experience today, and if it is recurring then we know we have to pinpoint the source of the problem. otherwise we're human we have flaws and defects and some crazy stuff can happen tongue.gif

Personally ive never had that sort of feeling, i bet it is scary!! The only "out of body experience" i can say that i have is basically after ive had a few pints lol but then again it could be cuz im p***ed mfr_lol.gif

Sounds like you are over working yourself, and your not getting any sleep at all, this is why you have may have experienced this out of body feeling. I suggest that if this continues that you go to see a doctor and see if this is medically related. Hope you are ok mate.

Hope things get better for you buddy smile.gif
When I get really tired and I don't take care of myself properly, I start to feel like that. Try getting some more sleep, eat a better diet, excercise, etc and you should start to feel better. Your body is just overworked and tired sad.gif

Probably just a petit mal. People have them all the time. Quite common.

i agree with the stress factors. stress can really do some damage.

hes not having a seizure..if he did he would have ran off the bridge ...anyway i think you have have Anxiety attacks, my friend has them sometimes and its to the point to where he has to pull over and breath and possibly get out of the car. Sounds about like what your having...id talk to a doctor though but my opinion seems to think its anxiety attacks.

search your head / scheduele for any upcoming deadlines. find out what they are and meet them. it should help

if not, get an ipod (shuffle/mini/regular) and put some comedy onto it... lol

if that doesnt help... see a doctor because anxiety disorders are serious.

legojerry
Nah, I'm not on any meds.. I did have a pretty nasty cold last week, took some advil, and dayquil..

hmm.. now that I think about it, I did take some off-brand amoxicillin.. hmm.. I guess that could be it.

I also had / am getting over an ear infection..maybe it's time to see my doc.. huh.gif

Actually, I agree that it could be a petit mal seizure. They only last a couple seconds and you're almost completely oblivious to when they are about to happen other than an incoming feeling of 'airiness'. I don't think it's anxiety because generally anxiety attacks are more ferocious and throw the body into some kind of panic. Some people sweat, some people's throats seize, some people start to 'tick' while others if the situation is grand enough will lose consciousness. It could also be that ear infection. Ear infections people think are nothing much but they're actually extremely dangerous. The inner ear has alot to do with balance and a loss of 'balance' can also feel like 'absence' or as if things are 'wrong' in general.
Anyone ever had alot to drink but not quite too much? It's an uncommon 'high' feeling where you're in control most of the time, but not. And feels like you're drifting or not quite here, but not quite there. It's difficult to explain but I would definately recommend a visit to your Doc. One final thing is it could be low blood sugar or pressure or in worse case scenerio diabetes....lets hope it's not diabetes. If your blood sugar is low, also called hypoglycemia then you can experience such things as dizziness, numbness, fear, flushing, irritability and sweating and this stuff can be onset by anxiety or stress. If you're blood pressure is low, also called hypotension then fainting or light headedness may occur, and this can be onset also by anxiety or stress as these 2 things cause your blood to flow faster, if it can't because of whatever the reason, then this could happen.

My girlfriend's brother has something similar to this, it's actually a very very very mild form of epilepsy. With a little bit of advice on how to keep oriented if they occur and some meds (I think it's 1 pill daily, little or no side-effects) you'll be good to go. I definitely suggest seeing your doctor if this has happened a few times, the sooner you get a real professional's medical opinion the better off you'll be. My girlfriend's brother kept convincing himself it was nothing until he blanked out driving with his wife one day and crashed head-on into a telephone pole. They were both OK but if they were on a bridge as you were, it could've been very different.

Just my 2cents.
