Use firefox and a proxy plugin in for it.

check out a program called PHProxy. It's very easy to setup and easily bypasses websense and other blockers. You can still be caught very easily by network admins

it works quite well

wow... That thing gets past websense and my job's blocks....your college has tigher security than government computers

i was on base @ fort hood, the underground base working on a copy machine for them.. i duno what they call it, the one with the big screens and the 3 feet thick metal doors.. anyway i had to get some things for the copier and you'd be surprise how lax their security is . that was about 2 years ago. We're not going to talk about the military's general office computers. because wow.. first of all most of those in the offices don't know what a computer is. from what i've seen of course lol.

My father was stationed at Ft. Hood. We lived there for almost 6 years

Government security is great in some areas, but really sucks in others.

Tried it @ my school, no go. Still blocked it, the only thing that works for me is Google Cache.

@mmoseley, Singh400... what kind of block do they have at your schools? If they are access control lists, then you are pretty much screwed. Cisco routers are smart enough not to allow this kind of crap past them

I attached a file with it working here... it's odd, at my school which uses websense, you can get past it. At work, they use some self written program (i think it's a part of the IIS server).

We use something called Dans Guardian, and yeah I think they do have access to the control lists lol.

Inadvertently stumbled on a great solution in uni a couple of years ago - google web accelerator. It sends sites from fast google servers, but also compresses them, which conveniently gets pages through websense.

okay i have tried every thing u guys are mentioning but still no luck. i manually turned off the websense in the intire school. they never figured it out but they changed the password. LOL

Well if you really want to get past it, go to internet options and go to connections.
Then go to lan settings, then uncheck all the check marks and click apply, then ok
I hate websense so much and i hope this works for u!

Make sure you put the s in after http. It's to fool Websense.
