I'm a Sony fan myself, but this sounded interesting - also don't know if this info is new or old:

The side of the 360° is dominated by an oversized, back-lit power button called the ring of light, and the rest of the case can be customized with colorful designer face plates that pop on and off. The 360°s dashboard will also be customizable, making each console a thing totally unique to its owner.
Some of the inner workings of the 360° have also been confirmed. The device will feature high definition audio and video and wireless controllers, and will come in two flavors—one with a hard drive and one without. The biggest shock is that while Microsoft wants to make their 360° backwards compatible, they haven’t yet been able to pull it off.

very intresting singh but yet again M$ looks like the backwards compatible will fail if they want it out in a few months. But what i found when i move form PS to PS2 i never played old games because they looked Crappy compared to the PS2 games.

the reason that MSFT cant do it is because msft is using a totally different platform with the X2. The first one is a 32-bit PIII, the X2 is a 64-bit PowerPC

yes. thats the whole reason that there making Halo 2.5. Its everything that they wanted to put in halo 2 but couldnt.

the graphics were ok the cut seens were crappy and some times the guns and maps looked bad. so halo 2.5 will be awesome and its on a new console

half life 2 would look out of this world if it hit the PS3 or Xbox 360

I beg to differ, PC Games will ALWAYS look better then any console games! The whole PC industry is always ahead of the console industry in every way!

HL2 is going to be out for Japenese arcades. It will have all the multiplayer options that it has now. And even teh single player only it will be on an arcade. I dont think that PCs will always have better graphics. And for the PC industy always being ahead of the console worlds. Just look at the fact that a PII 733MHz with a GeForce2 (xbox) can produce such great graphics that it can. You will need a PC that is WAY more powerful then that to get the same graphics. But you are prolly right that they are better and more powerful but that doesnt always count.

tobb we dont even know what hardware will be present in the Xbox 360 and i assure u it probably wont be a cpu they use in Apple machines. That is all not final until we get word from MS ...

because Microsoft isnt that stupid , a Penitum 4 could do 10x the work a PowerPC could ...i honestly wouldnt be suprised if they also used the Cell processor...comeone they used a P3 in the first one what makes u think they'll even consider the same cpu thats running Crappy macs

I agree a tri-die PowerPC chip is kinda extrem. I bet something like that running at 3.5GHz would be crazy hot. I bet that its just hype to try and scare sony. It wouldnt suprise me at all if they used a P4. Im just woundering why they went ATI this time and not nVidia.

ive seen screenshots from a TV that says nexTbox. Weither that was real or not i cant say but a screenshot it was. And even Steve Ballmer called it that. So we will have to wait and see.

I saw that Xbox360. I think that it looks great but they will never use that design. People dont want to see curcuit boards. But that would be a modders dream to get one of those. I have ideas already for it. LoL.

Basically everything can be done... you are fully customizable. You earn money/points and can go into the market place and buy clothing, accessories, etc. You are basically playing a RPG with your character online.

XBOX Live Silver is just access to the market place and the entire online world (which is alot), but XBOX Live Gold is the ability to play games online. Silver will be free, and Gold will cost an unknown fee.

You can play games with Silver.. you just can't play them online. You still will get updates to your games. You just will not have any online multiplayer.
