Where are the saved game files located??

I am not sure but i think they are inn the my documents folder

Guess that it used to be in the:

C:\Documents and Settings\!!USER!!!\Local Settings\Application Data

i sure dont see it in there.

they might be located in the my document folder or in the program folder its self

As with all Steam based games, they're saved here:
C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\email@emaildomain.com\half-life 2\hl2\SAVE

Of course if you installed off the CD and not Steam, your location could be different.

I do what I can. Also, note that your config files are also stored here (in other directories, not the SAVE directory) so it's very easy to save those when you backup your saved games (if you decide to format/upgrade your computer).

This is mine, installed from cd it still uses your steam account username in the save location.
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\mm_omega2\half-life 2\hl2\SAVE
