Apparently, Germany and France use it for certain things, and China, Japan and South Korea are working on an Asian version of it!

I can think of 1 reason for it!

Because it is FREE! Why pay £100 per copy of win xp when you have a workgroup of over 250 networked computers! With linux, it costs them nothing!

It just says the move is "one step closer" and Linux was found to be "a viable product".

It doesn't mean they'll switch.

Naturally, the more governments and companies look for alternative operating systems, the more Microsoft will try to persuade them to stay in their products.
