I was bored, so a friend and I benchmarked our systems, the scores were so different I decided to start a thread about it here.

Post your scores too, maybe we can all brainstorm on optimum settings for similar systems. Some of us are P4 and some AXP and A64, all are ofcourse welcome.

I have what are in my system specs:

I'm using Sandra Pro Unicode Win32 x86 v. 2004.10.9.133

My scores are -

CPU Arithmetic
Dhrystone ALU: 11093
Whet FPU: 3810
Whet: iSSE2: 4887

CPU Multimedia
Integer: 23020
FP: 24774

His are -

Dhrystone ALU: 11326
Whet FPU: 3876
Whet: iSSE2: 5021

CPU Multimedia
Integer: 23219
FP: 25184

which amazed me since he's on an A64 3000+ oced to 2460 (only 50mhz) higher than my OC of 2410. His ram is running at half the speed (mine 6800+), his under 3100. His mem efficiency is 94/94 and mine is 89/89.

We're currently trying to figure out why his scores are so much higher. I figured this is a cool way to pass some time. smile.gif

I attained a successful OC last night by reducing my ram from DDR400 (200mhz) to DDR333 (166). I guess my Ram was holding me back, maybe I should try increasing voltage or something. Anyway, I'm now at 2.5 and stable(ish), I don't finish Prime95 but my PC doesn't crash at all.

My scores are -

CPU Arithmetic
Dhrystone ALU: 11551
Whet FPU: 3968
Whet: iSSE2: 5158

CPU Multimedia
Integer: 23983
FP: 25799

These are real world results as I haven't closed any programs/apps/services to get a better result. My Mem efficiency is now 92%
