Everything except Country and Rap. I love Jazz, blues, rock and classical. Sorry, but rap is not music, its talking with sound in the background. Country, well, speaks for itself!

Rap isn't all talk. I mean lots of rappers were true artists. Take Tupac for instance, this is a man who took rap to a whole new level. His words were carefully chosen. The man was an absolute genius. Don't compare him to other 90's wannabe rappers like p.diddy
Rock was good in the 90's , now it's dying. Nawadays, people like to listen to fun stuff like Beyonce.
These days, the only non rap/hiphop/rnb music that I like is Linkin park's music. These guys are really great.
matt56la
happy.gif I do like alot of rap man, i got a friend who digs that over anything else, so i know stuff from Snoop Dog, Dr Dre, Eminem, D12, Tupac, Xzibit... u name it i probly know. and i like the words in rap, there is alot more meaning in rap then ppl think, its not all just words, the words relate to the artist or even events that have or are happening in the word. sleep.gif

I listen to everything from rap to a minute amount of country (because the wife makes me happy.gif ) But right now I'm stuck on uk drum and bass.
Cannyone
I listen to Techno, Trance, Electonica, and Classical now. I used to listen to Rock in the prehistoric days! happy.gif But it just lost it's appeal. I still know the majority of Rock produced before the ninetys (sixties on). But when I started to "log on" I discovered allot of music that was just...... better! Oh and Rock, does not equal screamin at the mic. In the beginning "Rock n Roll" was a much more general catagory.

I can appreciate music of any type personally. Now that does NOT mean that I appreciate the lyrics of all songs in any catagory. But let's take a worst case scenario: Country!?! Ick!!! (should be banned for promoting incest tongue.gif) Yet that doesn't mean that I can't listen to bluegrass instrumentals. I just don't care, at ALL!, for the trucks, trains, just got out of prison, "my dog died and my baby left me".... etc., that comprises most Country Western Music.

Ah, you're just getting old dude. Long live rock, and the blues. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Winter, T-Bone Walker, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Coco Montoya, George Thorogood, John Lee Hooker. smile.gif
