This is not directed towards any members on this board or any specific board, just a generalization of the tech boards on the net.....
Why do people expect an OS or any software or hardware to be perfect when nothin is perfect. Are you perfect? They complain it doesnt have this in it and it should have had it already in it. Or why do I have to use the .NET framework for this program to install. Or it runs hot or its too loud. Or I dont like the design of the website, it looks like this or dont look like this. Its not like someone is holding a gun to these peoples temples sayin you must use this product or your gonna be sorry for not. I can understand pre-release stuff but come on. Only way for companies to improve their product if for people to give them feedback on the products and not complainin on boards that it sucks, etc. I would like to see these people try developing/creating something and see how far they get.
Sorry for the rant and rave but I find it hypocritical of these people that say this stuff. I dont like this product but yet I still use it. Insane. You have 2 choices as far as I can tell.
1) Use it and get over it.
2) Dont use it and get over it.
Either way, your not helpin anything out by crying about it, unless your actually helping the people who are doing the hardwork make it better.

The people with the problems are usually those with little or no experience with programming or developing. (or they are smoking something)
I know I have developed something and had to issue fixes and patches. With millions of combinations of drivers and computer components, it is silly to think that everything will be perfect the first time, or 5th time for that matter.

It's a good point, but narrow.
Today's market economy is all about personal tailoring. Websites are no longer static display: they're portals with user databases, skins, and personal options. Music is no longer a physical album affair: one can legally or illegally download whatever individual songs one wants. If someone has a strange taste, chances are there's a company to fill that niche market or a way to customize to taste.
It's no wonder that consumers are necessarily egocentric when it comes to their preferences.
EDIT: OutLandish, I'm sure you've answered this elsewhere, but is the woman in your avatar also Shannon Elizabeth?
