Hey,
Here's a post for all you football fans to just discuss whatever!
I'm a Manchester United fan, so I'll be really biased.
This is kinda like an experiment to see how many people would get involved in this thread.
Also for anyone who wants to learn about the game or have any questions, just ask!

I have played american soccer all of my life. I miss the gold old days of playing in Under-12s and going to tournaments. We caused so much trouble we were banned from certain hotels.
Back in the day, it was soccer volleyball in the pool, soccer in the house, and soccer in the hotel hallways
I live in Oklahoma and soccer was pretty big here. SNU used to have a great college team here and they even made a few MISL stars.
Lots of fun, good friendships, lots of girls with nice legs!

Well I went to United vs Milan. Great game, great seats, bad score. Milan won 9-8 on penalties very undeservedly. United had almost total domination except for a few scattered Milan attacks.
Anyway, the thing that gets me really annoyed is not the score, but the fans. People do not understand the concept of loyalty. How can you cheer for United when they score, and then chant "Milan" later in the game? Honestly, it's like cheering for both teams at a Red Sox - Yankees game.
The stupidity of people is astounding. Anyway, for those of you who watched it, Scholes played great, especially after just coming from England. He really is one of the best midfielders in the world. (Except for maybe Zidane)

What's wrong with playing a sport to get girls?

Aug 3 2004, 12:42 PM
The average soccer player runs 9-11 miles per game. Not to say that hockey isn't manly, but there is nothing like unprotected sports where players feel the pain
thewinwizard
Aug 3 2004, 12:45 PM
How many miles do you think these guys skate in a game? How would you like to get hit at 20 mph by a guy weighing 220 lbs, or a frozen puck moving at 100 mph? How about getting you head sliced open, get stitched up, and go back and play. Of course, there's no pain involved in hockey, or play with broken bones?

ice hockey is definitely a hard core thing, but is it a sport?
in my opinion, its 3 activities:
1) Playing With a Puck
2) Skating
3) Fighting

Hey m8, we're not going to fight. It's called having a educational, constructive debate. This isn't going to be a pissing or shouting match. I respect soccer for the grueling tough sport it is. Just respect hockey for the same reasons, is all I ask. We could go into rugby from here as well. Just trying to have some fun, share thoughts and ideas. Yes?

definitely man, about rugby actually, it takes some skill with the passes.
but we need some more talk about the actual teams and news, not just about sports in general.
Anyway, BIG NEWS:
