Earlier I sent an offer so someone from one of my eBay auctions, through the eBay option.

Obviously the thing messed up somehow, and instead of sending a $400 offer, it sent like a $125 offer, so he went ahead and accepted, and paid with paypal.

I even sent a confirmation email, to make sure he understood.. "I need $400, and no less."

Anyone know if I am forced to send the item at that price?!!?! I'm hoping he's nice and lets me refund the money!!!

Email ebay and let them know.

Personally I feel it's an e-bay problem. If anything they should losethe money, not you.

ebay is utter rubbish, i only brought off there once (i recieved my goods) buts thats not the point, it took a while to arrive, even though he was only a few miles away.
i recently heard a discussion on ebay on bbc radio 2 where sold something and most the bidders were fakes and bidded stupid amounts. and they also had phone ins from buyers who never got thier good and wasted loads of cash. i'm never using ebay again cus it sucks, and i refuse to like paypal.

alot of ppl i have talked to have gud experiences with eBay , personally i dont use them (i dont trust online transactions , and i never will) .

Most of my beta collection has been obtained from ebay. Over the past 1 1/2 years iv'e obtained some 2000 disks, some of which are beta's not yet seen. Dont let 1 bad experience kill it for ya.

I mistrust online transcation. However, it is nice to see slashed price products on eBay.

Just as an update, it all worked out fine.. I only ended up losing around $5.00

In general, eBay is great! You just need to know how to use it. e.g sellers feedback and the prices of auctions.

e.g if someone is selling a brand new laptop for $20 then there is obviously somthing up!

I learned this when it happended to me!

I baught a camcorder for about $40.00 and the seller never answered my emails after i payed him. So i emailed ebay and paypal & they soon fixed the problem. Also i scared the seller to death sending a spoof email to him saying that ebay is going to investigate him for fraud!

He soon sent the item, then i left him bad feedback & never heard of him again.

You just need to know who to trust!

Before you buy, check the item description, check his feedback & then email him with any questions. If everything seems fine then place a bid or buy it now!

I find eBay a Very useful place, and the system works! You can always check a seller's rating, to see if you can rely on them... If you choose a good seller, then everything will go smoothly,, simple as that...
