At home I get about 91kbs over DSL. In my sister's house with cable she gets about 350kbs, and in my girls house she gets about 500kbs with the same cable company. Thats probably cause shes the only one that has cable around her way.

Man I want cable!!

mine is 738 down and 122 up. I'm thinking about upgrading to Charter's 1.5 mb down and 128 up. Its like 18 more than my parents are paying right now, but would have to come out of my own pocket (which isn't any deepers than my pen protector)

Not bad for $18 more a month sounds like a good deal to me.

Gsurface,
Using Comcast. Supposed to get: 1500 down / 300 up. Not complaining about the d/l part, but I'm amazed at the upload speeds most of you are getting. Was wondering if there was some kind of tweak I could use?
quint
Mar 9 2003, 08:58 PM
Took the DSL tweak test, and it suggests that I lower the RWIN. I guess I really don't understand much of this. I'll be doing a lot of reading, to be sure.

just download this file buddy
DRTCP, and make it look like this only for the TCP Recieve Window

leave the rest the same. click apply, restart your pc, take the speed test agin, and tell me what you gets.

Guess it's better results, but I still have to read up on this to learn more about it. Thanks again.
