Open the attachment and have fun-i did it my self-it was soo good to be infected again biggrin.gif i love microsoft for making their system so vulnareble and so easy to write worms and troajns -i just bless them-and i hope they will make even more holes and flaws in the future- and also to put the prices up so everyone would think their getting even more secure and more reliable OS -and for all beta testers -dont waste youre freaking time looking at their products-its obvious that they dont differ than their previous-its just crap under the hood-WAY to go microsoft keep the goood work.

This is spam mail. They send you 150kb attatchments that contain virus infected files posing as updates to windows xp. I used to get like 20 of these a day. But I blocked them all.
I read about this somewhere on microsoft.com
Actually microsoft will never send you files by email unless you requested support from microsoft.
Sim31
Yup I knew that for awhile now. Oh well.
matt56la
I dont think microsoft would even send atachments, maybe a link if it was urgent its obvious from the start that its fake...
is there no way 2 trace the message...?
Gsurface
It's a good idea to alsways display the full header so you can tell if this is some boggus email.

MS will never send you an e-amil about security updates... if you get one (even if it's from microsoft.com) it's probably a virus.

Ah, no, this is incorrect. If you ARE on the WU v4 or 5, they WILL let you know that there are security updates on the site. Same with windows 2000 news
