without the monitor I'll give you $350 bucks. (no video card, and no PSU) so yeah I'd need to buy those.

um to tell ya the truth u could probably get 1200 bucks simply cause the CPu/board/ and other hardware

$350 thats fricken to less!! Don't accept anything like that.. honestly i think you could get quite a few bucks for that machine!! 900+ or so!!! and if ya did throw in somewhat better video card you could up the price a little.. The cpu and board are great! like bluescreenofdeath said

Brand NEW CPU 2800+ is between 170-190 bucks
Brand NEW Abit NF7-S v2.0 nforce2 Ultra 400 Mobo is 125 bucks
Together its a little less than 300 bucks.
Add the liteon CDRW 50 bucks new
Add ram 35 bucks new
Add 40 gig HD 55 bucks or less
A mid tower case? 40-60 bucks max (plus there isn't a power suppy so thats gonna cost the buyer another 60-120 bucks)

So excluding the monitor we are talking a little over 480 bucks (saying over cuase of the 10 dollar graphics card and cpu fan)
lets round up to 500 bucks....thats NEW the system is used....used PC componets shouldn't even get 50% of current prices....

Got this in my email today from tiger direct...429 bucks gets you 2500barton, 512ddr333mhz good mobo, Niceee case, 64mb graphics, 80 gig 7200 rpm HD, DVD BURNER, Powersupply, cpu fan, keyboard/mouse/ neon's and fan 429 bucks...

Anyways, thx for ur suggestions guys. I put ad online asking for $950AU (so around $620US) and got $900 for it ($590US) so I'm happy with that (had to add floppy tho). Helped that most of the components were still under warranty.
I buy things at wholesale price so I prolly ended up making money off it (helps working for chain of pc stores)
