Anyone using IE that has experienced the mysterious typing slowdown/freeze do this:

In IE:

1.Click Tools
2.Click Internet Options
3.Click Accessibility
Uncheck "Format documents using my style sheet"
4.Click Ok
5.Click Ok again
6. Now go to the c:\Windows directory were the file is and delete that *.css. (c:\windows\java\my.css)
7. Reboot!!

This .css file is some kind of new spyware component and will be detected soon in Spybot SD i was told.

adaware sucks.... compared to spybot anyways.

yeah I just ran it tonight, and it found tons of new spy ware, and immunize my computer to 247 spyware titles, don't know how, but I'm glad it did lol now let's see adaware do that! :b0ing:

Spyware cleaners are very similiar to AV scanners in the way they use definition files and constantly need to keep updating the definitions to detect the latest threats. They can't detect what they are not "programmed to detect" and new definitions only arrive after a few machines have become infected...a copy of the malware/virus/trojan has to be captured and disected in order to find out how to remove or destroy it safely.

Hopefully someday spyware cleaners will use heurestic scanning to detect "unknown" threats
but until then keep updating regularly.

I have found Ad-Aware finds a few things Spybot doesn't and Spybot finds some Ad-Aware doesn't...so being the paranoid person i am i run both.

speak about Spyware, I had Xupiter on my computer about a month ago, and it replace my MSN search so now I have to manually goto Altavista instead of just typing my quest in the address bar and let MSN deal with it, well I removed Xupiter, but I can't get back the search functionality, got any idea's?

Download HIJACK THIS and press the scan button...which will then also turn into the save log button...either save your log or copy it and paste the contents into your next post and i will find your problem.
