Since friday evening, I am suffering from a acute partial shoulder laesie. This means I have lost nearly all my strength in my right arm. I can luckily still use my arm a bit, but I cannot lift anything heavy, nor can I hold on to anything anymore.
I am going for a research of what's wrong coming tuesday. Getting an Echo and, if things turn out bad, a nerve-test.
Imagine how it is to suddenly loose the ability to use a bodypart, while you're at full health.
For those who believe in God, please, think of me in your prayers.
For those who don't believe in God, keep your fingers crossed for me?
Something which is funny (if you can call it funny), is that it explains that it does not controll the Trapezius Muscle.... which is correct I can tell you, because I can stretch my arm with my full strenght (although it hurts like **** to my biceps) but I am having serious problems bringing it back to a comfortable state
Dunno if it's the same thing, but my uncle had a problem with his arm recently, it was caused by heavy lifting and apparently it pained him for a long time. The doctor just gave him something in the form of an injection and apparently after worsening for 3 days, it went fine.
I don't know what his problem was and I'm not familiar too much with medical terms. But hopefully you're problem isn't too serious.

if it's not damaged, it'll recover in about 2 months, and I have to train my arm for about a year, then it'll be back to normal again.
If it's damaged, I'll eventually will probably loose my arm

Ok, here's an update:
I went to have the echo today, where they found that the nervecore was badly infected and irritated. But, luckily, it'll heal in 2 weeks, after that, I need half a year of power-training to get my arm back on full capacity as it was before.
Until then, they have injected some sort of gel that stabilizes the core position and also kills the pain. Downside of this is that I do not feel it when I'm overstraining the core, nor does the core actually really react to overstraining, so I have to be careful.
But hey, it's all gonna be allright!!!!!!! YEAH!!! (Dang, I really was a bit scared about this you know....)

Awesome! Glad to hear you're going to be fine. Just a quick/stupid question then. Are you right or left handed?

Good to hear you are better now. What do you think caused it in the first place? I would like to hear about it because loosing an arm just like that is pretty scary stuff.

Glad to hear it wasn't as bad as possible.
Next time, remember to use the left hand too when you spank the monkey , give the right one a break every now and again! sheesh.

Hey Sphere. Its been about 3 weeks or so now. I'm sure I speak for most when I say:
How are you doing?

Yeh, thought the same
Anyway,
The scan came out negative (which was good) and now the infection and irritation in my shoulder is stabilized. The infection is gone.
I now have to train every once a week. My arm currently feels very painful, it's kinda like a constant muscle pain I feel.
But, it's getting better every week!
