Hi, has anyone here ever tried DivX on there tv screens?

How is the quality compared to the one i gives on computer screens?

Thanks

Well, it depends on your TV. I have a 42" Plasma HDTV and a Philips DVD/Divx Player. Sometimes I watch Divx movies on my HDTV. Of course compared to the resolution on my Monitor and the size of it, 22", it looks much better on the PC than the TV. It isn't terrible, it just isn't as crisp if you know what I mean. If you are deciding whether to get a DVD player with Divx or not, you should, the price isn't that much off from a regular DVD player.

Actually, if anyone is interested in getting a DVD Player within the next days, please wait till tomorrow, WalMart is having a secret Friday sale in which they will have 5 items at Black Friday prices. One of those items is a Toshiba HD-DVD Player at $100. I posted in on FlexDeals here:

Thanks , thats what I was wondering, as image stretching something like that can't keep the quality good forever. The one I have a available is a normal 36 inch plasma.

Also, I found a DivX DVD player in Argos for just under £30 ($62) so I came here before before getting it. Might get one and hopefully I can return it if I don't like it. tongue.gif

I think I have seen a better price under $60. I will check.

That's a good price, unfortunately I don't live in the US and they don't ship internationally. My friend my be coming there though, so I could get him to make the purchase.

Great find
