What are you running now? New system? New CPU new graphics card?
Me i just upgraded my single 64 winchester 939 to a Dual core 64 Toledo 939. a 188.00 upgrade that really has been worth it. Very simple to do, didnt even have to reinstall the OS

I love it, especially now that Adobe has finally released the Universal CS3 apps, been waiting and waiting for that. Now I just have to wait for Microsoft to release the Universal Office 2008 for Mac and I can use Office again on the Mac because right now with Office 2004 for Mac running on Rosetta it runs like crap. Using Entourage gives me a headache. But with apps that are Universal the machine flies. Vista runs nice on it too, although it is a pain in the a$$ right now to get Vista running perfectly with the Boot Camp beta. Me, and many many other people have ran into problems getting the video cards to work with vista, but after some manual trickery I finally got it working. The final Boot Camp version will hopefully do a much better job when its released with Leopard.

Main comp: is what's in my sig, main components are three years old and feeling the pain of modern day requirements!
Laptop: Toshiba Portege A200 I got last year, nice and compact and does the job for when I'm on the go, looks cool at presentations
and my box of tricks (not sure if that cpu temp is correct, it is under load though, still it's been like that for a good six or so years!):

No, phpsysinfo doesn't read the values of your sensors correctly... I've tried to get it to work, but never actually got it working, I got it so far to reading the actual temps... but als reading the mins and maxes as temps

hmm, well Ksensors seems to report similar readings, I think it's either just a hot cpu with a stock cooler or badly calibrated thermistors.
It's back at home while I'm at uni, probably a hot day and the cooling I've got in that box is next to nothing!
Thanks for the info though, worth knowing, i have been playing around with phpsysinfo getting it to work with different monitoring tools (it's just on it's default at the mo).

To get acurate readings, check your bios, or the motherboard software (which is often wrong as well btw)
Bios is most often the closest to correct... and in windows, Everest get's pretty close, in Linux, usually sensors (konsole prog) is pretty close, but often behind.

i think i've got the latest bios, i'll check when i get home in the summer. sensors seems to be reporting the same readings too, i think that 74 is definitely wrong:

Since joing Flexbeta I've had one new computer (Dell Dimension 5000) still currently using that. Only thing that has changed is that I've added another hard drive (the old one was clicking alot). The hard drive is a Seagate Barracuda SATA-300 7200.10 500GB 16MB (ST3500630AS).
Got plans to build my next PC
