The Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect Wireless-G, Wireless-B, and other performance-enhanced SpeedBooster devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.
SpeedBooster
The Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster incorporates the next generation of Wireless-G (802.11g) networking. SpeedBooster technology is a compatible add-on to standard Wireless-G, which increases "real-world" wireless network performance by up to 35%. Unlike other speed-enhancing technologies, SpeedBooster is fully 802.11 compliant, and a "good neighbor" to other wireless devices and technologies, using a single 2.4 GHz channel as specified by the official wireless standard. And, unlike other technologies, with SpeedBooster you'll see an overall speed improvement even when running a mixed network of SpeedBooster and regular Wireless-G devices.

To protect your data and privacy, the Router can encrypt all wireless transmissions, and also supports the industrial-strength wireless security of Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), and 802.1x authentication and authorization. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility.

With the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster at the center of your home or office network, you can share a high-speed Internet connection, files, printers, and multi-player games with the flexibility, speed, and security you need!

Please no advertising. You can only place ads in your sig. Since you have 17 post I assume you not just spamming. Take this as a warning.

Is this really not allowed? It's posted in the Classifieds section, and it's even a computer related item. TheBombTom does it all the time.

You guys need to either make up your minds on the rules or actually study them sometime. Otherwise you serve to confuse current as well as new members.
This guy's post to my knowledge is fine, ofcourse I could be missing something. He's posted a link to his sale on Ebay in the classifieds section....and he does have a few posts. If it was 1 post then maybe there'd be something to worry about.

What isn't allowed is advertising a website, and spamming anything. Several users have posted ads and similar threads as this one.

I think this is acceptable. I thought it was a link to his ebay store. Not just 1 item. I think this is fine, but lets see what a mod says.
IGotTheMondays
We usually like them to give more information than just posting a link to their eBay auction but since it's in classifieds I see no problem with it.
Clampet3000
Well I'm glad that is all sorted out......I'm not usually a rule breaker.....thumbsupup.gif

I do it every now and then but most of It giving stuff away for free or cheaper to Flex members!

But yeah Id agree this is fine...if you said what it was rather than just a link

And if you got hold of a La Fonera Wifi Router then you would have a WRT54G for free =D

*sigh* this is advertising.

I have a lot to catch up on being a mod again, but we usually reserved this section for use as something like a classified ad, not a link to an offsite auction or sale spot unless they was selling more than a couple things. I could be wrong now and things could be different.

I spoke to ShadowGate about this. I am going to add a rule requiring that links to eBay auctions are allowed as long as the poster has at least 10 post in the forums. This is to prevent spamming. Cheers.

I think you need to make the rule a bit less ambiguous

I mean I have like 800 or so posts, but if I posted all my ebay links that would be around 2000 posts....that isnt exactly fair

Maybe a limit of 1 post per day? Or maybe a section only for ebay links?
OutlandishTrendz
Then how about 10 posts to post an ebay link, and over 2-3 ebay auctions just link to your store or "view all seller's auctions"
