I saw that over at kotaku.com "how to kill a brand" I think it was called. Very great video.

I still think the PS3 is underated. The only reason the 360 is better is because MS released it before it was really completed. Just look how they implemented the HD DVD drive, and in terms of technelogical advances, the PS3 is the one pushing into new territory. They've got the cell processor and the Blu-Ray drive in there. It's an amazing system and its getting no credit.

It got only bashed around for it's high price for the features above. dry.gif

On the side note. waiting for PS3 to launch here (Singapore)... 3 more days. Only retailing for US$ 524. tongue.gif

I just purchased a 360, I was waiting out for PS3 in UK however the prices are far too high.. I think I will wait 3 or so years before getting a PS3... or at least when they drop to like £100 as the PS2s are now

Yeh, I feel sorry for Europeans. You guys are paying so high for so many things (PS3, Windows Vista - i think only affects UK right?).

yep.. because UK people are stupid when they purchase electronics so companies charge what they want and they know they will sell.

A prime example is the PS3 its £450.00 from tesco by itself, some bundles I have seen are nearing £700... its just stupid

Yeah, but the problem is that there are idiots out there that will gladly pay it....keeping prices high for the rest of you.

I've really enjoyed my PS3. My DVD's look great on it, much better than my regular progressive scan DVD player (somehow) and Bluray movies look freakin incredible as well. I just bought Tekken 5 off Sony's online store tonight and I've been playing it for about 2.5 hours now. I've had no problems with the system since I bought it and I've had it for about two months now. It's played every PS1 and PS2 game I've tried, some of which I have to say DID look better on their original systems though. In my own opinion, it was $599 well spent and it complements my Sony Bravia quite nicely.

I don't own an Xbox 360, and I don't plan on buying one... I have no problems with the system, or it's fanboys, but ONE thing really sticks out to me about it though, and it's that EXTERNAL HD-DVD player. Yikes. Another thing that gets me is all the moaning about the pricetag of the PS3. Yes it's expensive, but look at the 360 and it's own HD-DVD player. The premium Xbox 360 is like $399 (over here it is anyways), and if you want high def movies, it's another $199. Let's see, how much is that... $598 bucks give or take. PS3, $599 give or take. I wish people would just let go of the whole pricing bit already.

I've watched both HD-DVD movies (at my friends house) and Bluray movies (here at home). They both look great. The games both look great. Microsoft's multiplayer service is a bit more useful than Sony's multiplayer support though. I think people need to get over the arguing and bashing and just buy what they want and have fun.

I must say though, even though I don't agree with it, I do like the song. It's clever and catchy.

Oh... and the Wii? I think it should have been named "Revolution" like they originally planned. "Mom! I'll be in my room playing with my Wii!!" Yeesh.

Yeah however some bundles I have seen xbox premium + hd-dvd player for almost £100 cheaper then PS3 smile.gif and as for Wii... that name just says it all smile.gif they should of stuck with the Revolution branding.. The PS3 UK price would most likely be alot cheaper if idiots where not willing to pay whatever for the console... prime example is a friend of mine said he would pay £1,000 for the PS3 if that's what Sony charged...

$599 in US for PS3 that's a more reasonable price.. converting it to GBP at that price would be around £305... you see my point the people in the UK are paying £145 more then its American friends for just the console

I will most likely get a PS3... but I will wait several years as the price will most likely be the same as the PS2 is now and the launch games will be in a bargain bucket for several pounds.
