These are from 2005. Not much snow, but I like them.

Salt on the other walks?, or the mix of concrete used. I used to come outside and see about 2 inches on one side of the street and the other side is dry as a bone. I've only lived in florida for two years now. I'm from upstate new york, so i know about snow. alot of snow.

Lol, I've done a new years LAN party with my friends for a few years now, and twice, we were snowed in and had to extend the party. Once we were stuck for 3 days which led to a Serious Sam marathon, lol. Good times.

PS: RED FACTION!!!!

I'm thinking it probably has something to do with salt.

Everyone in my neighborhood - except me - salted their walks??? AND the city did the street as well?? They only do the intersections - and then only when bad. This was a light dusting.

Most of 'em don't even SHOVEL.

Ok, you say your sidewalk was recently redone? My guess is that your sidewalk has a lower heat capacity, so the snow stuck to it easier. Likewise, due to the lower heat capacity, evaporation can happen much more rapidly.
