For a while now my sister has been badgering me about how she can't see PSD thumbnails - when she can see BMP, JPG, PNG etc etc quite easily. So I've finally decided to fix it, and I thought I would share it.

After some googling, I found that you need a reg file and a dll file to make this work. Don't worry I've included everything you need in the following RAR file - make sure to read it's Readme.txt.

My sister is using Adobe Photoshop CS2, and all the files made in CS2 (and below) are viewable through Explorer using this tweak.

Edit* I've had to rename PSD_Thumbnail_Explorer.rar to PSD_Thumbnail_Explorer.txt because it won't let me upload a file with a RAR extension. So make sure after you have downloaded this file, that you rename it back to PSD_Thumbnail_Explorer.rar. Also use 'Save Target As...' to download this file, do not just click on it.
    Attached File(s)
    Attached File  PSD_Thumbnail_Explorer.txt ( 56.19K ) Number of downloads: 37323

Wasn't that really bothered huh? Then why use it? I'm sure some people found it useful - I wouldn't have posted it otherwise.

I am sure you have been thanked often for this contribution.
Yet here is one more BIG THANK.
I used to have to first install my old Photoshop and then install CS2
    to get this result.
Reinstalled will be much more simple now.

    Thanks heaps.
It was so painful to view the PSD files that I had to open PS all the time.
Rather I have used to view them through Explorer using other machine with the PS Element is installed.

You deserve the top of the contributor to the PC community. Jae

Just a quick heads up. This trick works in Windows Vista too.
