update: new pic, it is availible, this is of Windows XP 64-Bit Edition.
    (not actual screenshot from OS)

    from email:

Hello and welcome (or welcome back) to the newly renamed Windows
Server 2003 SP1 and Windows XP Pro x64 Edition Technical Beta
    Program.

Things are finally heating up for this program after a period of
quiet progress. Right now this is the top beta priority for the
Windows group. Your feedback is essential to shipping the
highest quality server service pack and new 64-bit client
    possible.

Build 1247.IDS is being copied to our download servers right now
and assuming that nothing unforeseen happens it will be made
available for download in the next few days.

A new DDK, SDK, and Code Coverage build will be part of the
    1247.IDS release as well.

We have download locations in Ireland and Japan for our overseas
customers. The files will be available there three to four days
after they are posted to the US download site.

While you are waiting, download "Changes to Functionality in
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1" (Server_SP1.zip)
from WindowsBeta. This is a comprehensive document that details
the changes made in SP1. It is very similar in content to the
    document produced for XPSP2.

New in this build is Product Activation for the x64 platform.
You will need to obtain a product key to install and activate
x64 versions of Windows. You can get these from the WindowsBeta
website now and avoid long lines later on.

This is the first of more builds that will be released on our
way to a final release. The current schedule is for RTM to occur
in the first half of 2005. Please check back to
http://windowsbeta.microsoft.com frequently for the latest news
and watch your email for the official build release
    announcement.

We are pleased to announce that Microsoft® Windows Server 2003 SP1 and
Windows XP x64 Edition Technical Beta Program, Interim Release build
1247.IDS is now available for download at <
    <<<http://windowsbeta.microsoft.com>>> >.

Note - This build is an interim release and is not beta quality. It is
being offered for you to evaluate our progress towards the next major
milestone of the Server SP1 Beta.

Before you begin, please note the following:

    1. You may upgrade to this build from a released or evaluation version
of Windows Server 2003. We strongly recommend that you back up your
files and install this build only in a test environment.

    2. The "Stand-Alone" for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1
    does not have a time-bomb.

    3. Microsoft® Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 interim builds are not
    recommended for production systems.

    4. Due to the nature of pre-release software, some of your applications

installation. By installing this release, you agree to the terms and
conditions of these license agreements. All licenses associated with the
product will expire when the product becomes commercially available.

    Product Keys:

The product key needed to install depends on which version of the
    service pack you install.

If you are applying the update package to an existing Windows Server
2003 installation regardless of processor type no new product key is
    required.

For x64 builds 1218 and older use the generic key

For x64 builds newer than 1218, you will need to obtain a product key
    from the WindowsBeta website.

Testers for x86 Code Coverage Builds may access an RTM Eval key from
    the WindowsBeta Website.

    * Note that the product keys for x86 and x64 versions are different.
You will need to obtain a key for each.

    *Security Configuration Wizard Update*

Security Configuration Wizard (SCW) is an attack surface reduction tool
being introduced with Windows Server 2003 SP1. This SP1 refresh
contains an updated version of SCW that has many new features and
capabilities that were not available in the original SP1 beta. Specifically,

.. A completely new firewall configuration component.
    - SCW is the recommended way of configuring the Windows Firewall on
    Windows Server Systems.
    - Automatic port detection for non-default configurations, multiple
instance scenarios, and 3rd Party Applications

    .. Additional Server Role definitions.
    - SCW now contains definitions for over 60 different server roles.
Including roles for applications like Exchange, SQL Server, etc.

    .. Compliance analysis support.
    - Allows you to determine whether servers are in compliance with
    expected policies.

.. Complete command line tool support.
    - Supports deploying and analyzing security policies remotely
    en-masse.

    .. New support for:
    - IIS-specific settings
    - Audit policy settings
    - Additional registry values
    - Group Policy-based deployment of SCW-generated security policies
    - Inclusion of security INF templates.
    - Centralized knowledge base repository
    - Clustered environments
    - Multi-level rollback

    To install SCW:
    - Install SP1
    - Install SCW from Add\Remove Windows Components

    To run SCW:
    - Start/Run/SCW or launch from Administrative Tools

To use the SCW command line tool:
    - scwcmd.exe

    To test SCW:
    - Launch the wizard.
    - Select a server to lock down.
    - Answer the wizard's questions as appropriate.
    - Apply the resulting security policy.
    - Verify that the server continues to function as expected with the
    reduced attack surface.

Feedback, discussion, and support for SCW is provided through the
    SCW-specific SP1 newsgroup:
    microsoft.beta.srv2003sp1.scw

Thank you for testing Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1.
